Interim Corporate Policy Manager
Location: South London (3 days per week on site)
Rate: £400 per day (Inside IR35)
Contract: 6 months
Panoramic Associates are supporting a public sector organisation with their search for an experienced Corporate Policy Manager to support the delivery of key strategic priorities and policy programmes.
Working closely with senior leadership, this role will focus on driving forward high-profile policy initiatives, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and external requirements. You will provide strategic oversight, challenge and expert advice on policy development, governance and delivery across a complex environment.
The role also includes leading on equality, diversity and inclusion strategy, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, and embedding best practice across policy and organisational change.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and manage project teams, engaging stakeholders up to senior leadership level
- Provide oversight, challenge and quality assurance on policy development processes, frameworks and outputs
- Lead the development and implementation of equality, diversity and inclusion strategy, including impact assessment approaches
- Design and deliver engagement programmes with internal and external stakeholders, including senior partners and community groups
- Oversee procurement activity and contract management related to policy and programme delivery where required
- Support the development of a new corporate or organisational plan, including framework design and delivery approach
- Work closely with communications teams to ensure clear and consistent messaging on policy development and progress
Requirements
- Experience leading policy development and strategy programmes within a public sector organisation
- Strong understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion frameworks, including application within policy and organisational change
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate policy into practical delivery
- Experience managing budgets, governance structures and programme risks
- Strong programme and project management capability
