What we are recruiting for:

The Corporate Governance and Compliance Manager is responsible for developing and administering Bovis' governance and compliance framework.

This opportunity comes at an exciting time for the business as it develops its governance framework alongside new policies and procedures to reflect its corporate structure following the acquisition by Atlas Holdings earlier this year.

We are seeking an experience corporate governance and compliance manager to join the legal and compliance team.

Roles & responsibilities:

  • Support the General Counsel and the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) with robust governance of the Bovis business.
  • Developing policies and procedures on corporate governance (including GDPR, anti-bribery and corruption) and supporting the business with operational policies (including health and safety, technology and AI).
  • Lead corporate board governance including company secretariat and Data Protection Officer responsibilities.
  • Governance of risk management including identifying and classifying risks. Reporting to the Risk Committee and developing strategies to mitigate those risks.
  • Educate and promote initiatives on compliance and governance matters within Bovis.

Experience & background:

  • Qualified to a degree level or above in governance and compliance management such as Chartered Governance Institute qualified/chartered.
  • Experience in supporting executive teams, boards in a governance and company secretarial function.
  • Excellent communication skills including written and presentation skills.
  • Ability to organise own workload, prioritise tasks and work to deadlines.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
  • A DBS check will be required to undertaken for this role.
