Job title: Global Communication and Sustainability Manager

Reporting to: Head of HR, Communication and Sustainability

Location: Hoofddorp, Netherlands


We are seeking a dynamic Communication and Sustainability Manager to join our team in Hoofddorp.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on, tech-savvy professional with outstanding writing skills who is eager to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in a similar role and demonstrate superb writing skills. Native or near-native proficiency in English is essential.


This is a dual role covering Communication and Sustainability. Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, Communication and Sustainability, the incumbent will be responsible for both internal and external communication with a view to strengthen Nordic Pharma's external image and reputation and to drive employee engagement by creating and executing a powerful and consistent brand expression. With regards to Sustainability, the purpose of the role is to translate strategic objectives into actionable plans, to oversee delivery and execution of these plans with internal and external partners and to contribute to the transformation efforts to meet the company's environmental and social ambitions.


Responsibilities and Tasks:


Internal Communication

  • Plan and execute company-wide internal communications in cooperation with stakeholders;
  • Oversee the company's SharePoint online intranet including developing and writing stories and managing the day-to-day operations and design; maintain and monitor effectiveness and impact of contents that meet the needs of Nordic Pharma and monitor intranet usage based on best-practice metrics;
  • Serve as the liaison and spokesperson for the leadership team, providing collaborative guidance and advice on integrated communication strategies to improve employee engagement and experience;
  • Support engagement of internal employees in a variety of digital and non-digital ways;
  • Work with IT and other stakeholders to define priorities for requests for new functionality and tools;


External Corporate Communication:

  • Assess the current online content and curate the presence of Nordic Pharma Group website and key digital platform (LinkedIn, with updated information and aligned branding); also ensure coordination of all corporate websites;
  • Own the information architecture and content quality of both the Group website and the LinkedIn page, working with Marketing and IT partners as well as with affiliates to ensure the provision of a strong and aligned digital presence;
  • Engage with the global community of Nordic Pharma experts to drive consistency in the messaging approach and ensure alignment with the content strategy, communication standards and guidelines;
  • Manage the company's media monitoring tool to track coverage and provide insights to key stakeholders;
  • Coordinate and support the development, review, and distribution of press releases and other external communications to ensure message consistency and alignment with brand and business objectives.


Sustainability:

  • Define and drive, with relevant departments, the company's global sustainability strategy in alignment with international frameworks;
  • Take the lead on the 'Social' (S) pillar of CSRD, including setting targets, coordinating cross-functional data collection, and ensuring accurate reporting;
  • Oversee the annual EcoVadis submission and manage the yearly communication of progress to the UNGC;
  • Coordinate the development and publication of a yearly global communication piece highlighting key sustainability initiatives and achievements;
  • Organize internal and external sustainability-related events, including employee volunteering programs and awareness webinars, to foster engagement and transparency;
  • Act as the key driver of the global CSR Ambassadors network, empowering local champions to promote and implement sustainability initiatives across regions.


Corporate Branding:

  • Update brand guidelines and further develop and implement cohesive global corporate branding strategy that ensures consistent visual and verbal identity across all channels and regions;
  • Drive initiatives to strengthen brand recognition and reputation, including corporate campaigns, branded content, and strategic storytelling;
  • Collaborate with regional teams to ensure brand relevance and adaptability across markets.
