What you will do:

• The Corporate Banking Team are looking to attract additional resource to focus on non-debt objectives - as a Corporate Banking Director you will deliver the Metro Bank brand and business model through the creation and maintenance of a portfolio of Deposit led Corporate Banking customers

•The role will be a mix of relationship management and business development, with a focus on growing high-value, low-cost deposit balances, wining new corporate banking switchers and grow other income and fees

• Become a subject matter expert in a number of specialist areas, aiming to attract new business from our competitors, in underserved business sectors

•Demonstrate ability to maximise the customer relationship whilst being compliant during customer interactions with awareness of Treating Customers Fairly (TCF)

• Develop and maintain active and influential relationships with key market professionals

•Represent the Corporate Banking Team, building our brand reputation in this key marketplace

•Build key relationships with other departments such as Customer Propositions, Treasury, Financial Crime Risk & Controls and Regional Teams

•Work with Financial Crime Risk & Control and Financial Crime Policy Team to ensure we identify and manage the operational risks of my customer portfolio in line with the Bank's standards and policies

•Lead by example and set the tone as an advocate of Metro Bank and everything we stand for when dealing with customers, intermediaries and colleagues

What you will need:

•Experienced in winning corporate level deposit customers and managing and growing a portfolio of these customers

• A strong track record of generating new business with direct involvement developing relationships both internally and externally at a range of different seniority levels

•Experience in growing income streams in line with growth strategies

•Experienced in interacting with and influencing senior management and key external stakeholders

•Be a problem solver with the ability to find solutions that consider multiple perspectives and future implications

•Experience of evidence decision-making based on insight and knowledge

•Strong ability to manage multiple responsibilities within a quick and everchanging environment with the ability to prioritise and negotiate

•Relationship management and stakeholder management skills

•Business development/rapport building skills

•Strong understanding of relevant business sectors with great risk awareness

•A strong understanding of Financial Crime, AML requirements as well as TCF/conduct expectations
