Xray Core services Lead Radiographer SBH, Band 8a - Fixed term 1 year

The General Imaging team at Barts Health is looking to recruit a talented radiographer to join the leadership team asCore services Lead Radiographer for St Bartholomew's Hospital.
We have dynamic clinical teams and are looking for a visible and motivating leader with a strong focus on Xray Imaging. This Position will be based at St. Bartholomew's Hospital which is in the heart of the City of London- St. Paul's.
Main duties of the jobThe post holder will be credible and a visible role model, both managerially and professionally, promoting and delivering quality clinical standards within Imaging at Barts Health. They will bring dedication and energy to improving patient experience, staff satisfaction, clinical pathways and performance standards, through effective communication with patients, staff and stakeholders.
This is an exciting role, with the successful candidate representing the Imaging service.

Person Specification Experience- Wide experience of Imaging equipment & techniques.
- Day to day operational management experience and experience in delivering operational performance standards.
- Quality Assurance / Clinical Governance initiatives.
- A track record of implementing and managing change. To have been involved in bringing about change to a service/ department
- Experience in the management and supervision of staff, including HR issues
- Experience of managing a budget.
- Knowledge of wider NHS issues and National NHS priorities.
- Experience of post graduate teaching
- To have experience of setting up a new service
- Experience of implementing Evidence Based Practice
- Research experience
- Experience of business planning, preparing capital bids, and bids for resources to extend the Imaging service when required
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Understanding of national waiting time principles
- Knowledge of Project Management processes
- Knowledge of HR and Finance business functions
- Excellent communication skills and presentation skills
- High level of work organisation, self-motivation, drive for performance and improvement, and flexibility in approach and attitude
- Ability to initiate and implement change

- Ability to lead and manage staff in a large and complex imaging department.

- Research and audit undertaken in an imaging related topic.
- Experience in writing business cases and operational requirements
- BSc Radiography or DCR.
- State Registration
- IV cannulations
- Post Graduate Qualification professional or managerial at Masters level or equivalent
- Recognised management qualification
- Lead by example, promoting the highest standards of personal and professional conduct, integrity and probity.
- High level of work organisation, self-motivation, drive for performance and improvement, and flexibility in approach and attitude
- Committed to the continuous development of staff and self
