Outline of role

To support the efficientday-to-day delivery of transport and consolidation activities by processingdelivery schedules, coordinating orders, and ensuring vehicle and driveravailability meets agreed customer and client timelines.

The role will liaise withsuppliers, logistics providers, and internal teams to manage stock allocationthrough the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and arrange cost-effective,timely transport across multiple projects and locations, maintaining high servicelevels and operational efficiency.

The Project Co-ordinator willcollate, analyse, and report operational data to support key performanceindicators (KPIs), identify trends, and drive continuous improvement. They willprovide accurate and timely management information to support operationaldecision-making while ensuring compliance with company procedures andregulatory requirements through effective administration.

Main responsibilities
  • Arrange and manage transport for deliveries andcollections, ensuring cost-effective and timely execution.
  • Liaise with suppliers, logistics providers, internalteams, and clients to support smooth operations.
  • Track inbound and outbound movements, ensuringmaterials meet project timelines and milestones.
  • Manage Proof of Delivery (POD) processes and maintainaccurate transport and operational records.
  • Monitor delivery performance, identifying andescalating risks, delays, or issues as required.
  • Support project coordination through administration,scheduling, and status updates.
  • Analyse operational and financial data to produce KPIreports and drive efficiency improvements.
  • Reconcile transport and financial data; supportinvoicing, cost allocation, and query resolution.
  • Coordinate orders and process delivery scheduleswithin the WMS, ensuring accuracy and data alignment across systems.
  • Allocate stock and equipment in line with projectrequirements, monitoring availability and resolving shortages.
  • Investigate and resolve issues relating to orders,stock, and transport; produce reports and updates.
  • Support audits, compliance activities, and providegeneral administrative support to the Transport team.
Knowledge and experiencerequired
  • Previous experience in a transport, logistics, supplychain, project, or administrative environment.
  • Experience coordinating orders, deliveries, or stockwithin a fast-paced operational setting.
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS),transport booking systems, or similar platforms (ERP/finance systems such asSage advantageous).
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Officeapplications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience maintaining accurate records and managingdata across multiple systems.
  • Understanding of transport processes and basiccompliance requirements (desirable).
  • Proven ability to manage, prioritise, and meetdeadlines within a high-volume workload.
  • Experience working with customers, suppliers, andinternal stakeholders to support operational delivery.
