Job Description
Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook meals from base and raw ingredients.
  • Support Catering Supervisors with daily supervision of staff.
  • Ensure a clean and safe environment is maintained.
  • Assist in meeting nutritional, dietary, clinical, religious, and cultural requirements.
Experience
  • Experience of catering for large numbers.
  • Experience of catering in a health care setting.
Allergens
  • Allergy Awareness Qualification.
Knowledge
  • Knowledge of food production, recipes, and quantities.
  • Experience or knowledge of supervising.
  • Knowledge of COSHH.
Qualifications
  • City & Guilds 706/1, 706/2 or equivalent.
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or work toward on commencement).
  • Patisserie qualifications desirable.
  • COSHH Qualification.
Requirements
  • Good teamwork, leadership, communication and organisational skills.
  • Self motivated, able to work unsupervised, flexible approach to shift changes.
  • Friendly and professional approach.
  • Ability to speak Welsh is desirable; English speakers welcome.
Working Hours, Contract & Benefits

We are offering a permanent contract of employment. Hours of work: 37.5 hours a week, covering a combination of shifts to cover where needed on a rota that includes bank holidays and weekends.
