Location: Meadowcroft, Shoreham-On-Sea
Salary: £13.70 per hour (Reviewed Annually) + weekend enhancements
Hours: 18 hours per week (Wednesday, Thursday & Saturday 8am - 2pm)
Contract: Permanent

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team as a Cook at Meadowcroft. What matters most is your passion for preparing wholesome, nutritious meals and your commitment to maintaining and continually improving our high standards.

As a Cook, you will play an important role in supporting the wellbeing of our residents by preparing meals with care, as well as catering for our colleagues. This is a rewarding position for a Cook who enjoys creating comforting, home-style food in a warm and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook breakfast, including items such as bacon, eggs, and sausages
  • Cook lunch as the main meal of the day, offering two options plus puddings
  • Bake cakes for birthdays and special events
  • Ensure all meals meet the nutritional requirements of our residents
  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety at all times
  • Work independently and collaboratively within the care team
Requirements
  • Previous experience working as a Cook, ideally in healthcare or a similar environment
  • Knowledge of elderly nutrition and special diets
  • Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
  • Compassionate attitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to resident wellbeing
