Shift Patterns: 5 days a week 6 hour shifts Flexibility & Weekend Required

What We're Looking For:

• A warm, personable approach with a focus on resident wellbeing
• Demonstrable experience in working as a Chef or a Cook
• Relevant qualification (City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent)
• A good understanding of nutrition and HACCP
• Experience with fresh, seasonal food
• Confidence engaging with residents to create appealing menus
• Eligibility to Work in the UK: You must be eligible to work in the UK. Frances Taylor Foundation does not offer sponsorship or work visas. Proof of Right to Work will be required at the interview stage.

As a Cook, you will be responsible for:

• Planning and preparing nutritious, balanced menus to meet dietary needs
• Ensuring compliance with COSHH, HACCP, and company procedures
• Ordering supplies and managing stock, reporting any issues
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen
• Supporting events and seasonal catering as required
• Completing cleaning schedules, audits, and temperature checks
• Working within budget and maintaining accurate records

About St. Josephs Care Home:

St. Joseph's Home specialises in supporting people with profound and multiple learning disabilities who have complex health care needs. Our facility features beautiful, secure grounds, and three sensory rooms with state-of-the-art multi-sensory equipment. Residents can personalise their bedrooms and enjoy a variety of activities, including social clubs, music therapy, a sensory garden, and reminiscence sessions.
