Conveyancing Paralegal - Manchester

A highly reputable and established law firm is looking for an experienced Conveyancing Paralegal to join its busy and successful Property department based just south of Manchester City Centre.

This is a non-fee-earning position, supporting a team of experienced Conveyancers with all aspects of their caseloads from initial instruction through to completion and post-completion.

Salary - £25,000 - £28,000 DOE

The Role

  • Assist a team of Conveyancers with their Residential Property caseloads from initial instruction through to post-completion
  • Open new files, complete initial client onboarding and prepare relevant documentation
  • Support with Freehold and Leasehold Sales and Purchases, Remortgages and Transfers of Equity
  • Prepare and issue contract documentation
  • Assist with searches, enquiries and general transaction progression
  • Liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders and other solicitors throughout the transaction
  • Assist with exchange and completion preparations
  • Handle a range of post-completion duties, including SDLT and Land Registry matters
  • Maintain accurate files and ensure matters progress efficiently

The Candidate

  • A minimum of 6 months' experience within Residential Conveyancing
  • Previous experience working as a Conveyancing Assistant or Conveyancing Paralegal
  • A good understanding of the conveyancing process from opening a file through to completion and post-completion
  • Exposure to Freehold, Leasehold, Sales and Purchase transactions
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Confident communicating with clients and third parties
  • Comfortable working in a support-focused, non-fee-earning role
  • Ability to commute to an office just south of Manchester City Centre
