Job Title: Residential Conveyancer / Conveyancing Executive / Chartered Legal Executive

A leading national law firm is seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancer, Conveyancing Executive or Chartered Legal Executive to join its highly regarded Real Estate team based in Bristol.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established plots conveyancing team acting for some of the UK's most prominent residential developers and housebuilders. The role offers the chance to work in a fast-paced yet supportive environment where quality of service and strong client relationships are highly valued.

The Role

You will play a key role in supporting major residential development clients with the sale of new build plots, managing a varied caseload and working closely with developers and their sales teams.

The role will involve handling a full range of plot conveyancing matters, including transactions involving a variety of purchasing schemes. You will work as part of a collaborative and experienced team, supporting the smooth progression of plot sales across multiple developments.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing your own caseload of plot sale transactions from instruction through to completion.
• Acting for housebuilder clients on the sale of new build properties.
• Working closely with developer clients and their sales teams to meet deadlines and exchange targets.
• Handling a range of conveyancing matters related to plot sales and development sites.
• Ensuring transactions progress efficiently while maintaining excellent levels of client service.
• Liaising with buyers' solicitors, lenders and internal teams.
• Supporting with associated development matters where required, including compliance documentation and site related legal requirements.

The Team

You will join an established plots conveyancing team within a wider Real Estate department that specialises in residential development work.

The team works closely with developer clients across the lifecycle of residential developments - from land acquisition through to plot sales. Alongside plot conveyancing, the team also supports site set-up matters, section agreements, compliance certificates and deeds of variation.

The team currently consists of experienced conveyancers supported by a dedicated administrative function, working collaboratively across the Bristol and Reading offices.

Experience Required

The successful candidate will have previous experience working within residential conveyancing or plot sales and be confident managing their own workload.

You will ideally demonstrate:

• Experience handling residential conveyancing or plot sale transactions.
• The ability to manage a busy caseload with minimal supervision.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Experience working in high-volume environments while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
• Strong client relationship and communication skills.
• Good IT skills and experience using case management systems.
• A proactive and commercially aware approach to property transactions.

Experience with title investigation on development sites would be beneficial but is not essential.
