Control Systems Engineer

Contract Control Systems Engineer - Remote (Occasional Travel)

Duration: 6 Month Initial (Likely to Extend)
Location: Remote (UK) with occasional on-site travel
Clearance: Must be eligible for SC clearance (or already SC Cleared)

We are seeking an experienced Control Systems Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. This role offers remote working with occasional travel to UK sites as required on a 2-year programme of work.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement PLC-based control systems

• Configure and program Siemens PLCs

• Develop and modify SCADA systems

• Support system testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting

• Produce technical documentation and ensure compliance with project standards

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and project teams

Skills & Experience Needed

• Strong experience in PLC design and programming

• Demonstrable expertise with Siemens automation platforms

• Hands-on experience with SCADA systems

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, control philosophies, and specifications

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

• Must be eligible for SC clearance or already SC Cleared
