This role sits at the heart of procurement and commercial strategy, with a particular focus on developing and shaping contract frameworks that enable efficient, compliant, and value-driven supplier delivery.

You'll play a key role in supporting major procurement activities, ensuring that contractual structures and frameworks are fit for purpose, scalable, and aligned to long-term business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and enhancement of contract frameworks to support large-scale procurement programmes
  • Support end-to-end procurement activity by ensuring appropriate contract structures, terms, and risk positions are embedded from the outset
  • Design and implement framework agreements and contracting strategies that drive consistency, efficiency, and commercial value
  • Work closely with procurement teams to shape sourcing approaches, evaluation models, and supplier engagement strategies
  • Provide commercial and contractual input into tender documentation, ensuring clarity and alignment with organisational requirements
  • Establish standardised contract templates and framework mechanisms that can be deployed across multiple projects or workstreams
  • Review and refine existing procurement and contract processes to improve governance, compliance, and delivery outcomes
  • Collaborate with operational and technical teams to ensure frameworks reflect real delivery requirements and performance expectations
  • Identify commercial risks within procurement exercises and develop balanced, practical mitigation strategies

About You

  • Strong experience working within procurement, contract development, or commercial management environments
  • Proven track record of supporting or leading framework-based procurement approaches
  • Solid understanding of structured procurement processes and contracting principles (e.g. NEC, JCT or similar)
  • Experience translating procurement strategies into effective contractual arrangements
  • Confident engaging with a range of stakeholders, including procurement professionals, technical teams, and suppliers
  • Commercially astute with a detailed, methodical approach to contract development
  • Able to balance risk, value, and operational practicality within procurement-led environments

What's on Offer

  • Competitive salary of £52,000 - £55,000
  • Hybrid working model
  • Involvement in high-value, strategically important procurement programmes
  • Opportunities to influence and shape framework and contract strategies
  • Supportive and collaborative working environment
  • Attractive benefits package
