Contracts Manager Quantity Surveyor - Full Time - Hatfield

We are working with a well-established and successful fit-out and refurbishment contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager / Quantity Surveyor to join their team.

The company delivers high-quality commercial, industrial, office, education and specialist refurbishment and fit-out projects across London and the South East.

This is a great opportunity for someone who can combine strong commercial management with hands on project delivery.

You will be responsible for managing projects from pre-construction through to completion with project values between £1m - £5 million, including:

• Overall management and delivery of allocated projects
• Commercial management, budgets and cost reporting
• Subcontractor procurement and management
• Valuations, variations and final accounts
• Managing programmes and project performance
• Client and consultant liaison
• Managing subcontractors and supply chain
• Identifying and managing commercial risks
• Attending project and commercial meetings
• Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and to budget

We are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager, Quantity Surveyor, Commercial Manager or Project Surveyor with a main contractor background.

Ideally, you will have experience within fit out, refurbishment or commercial construction, together with:

• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge
• Experience managing subcontractors and projects
• Good understanding of construction programmes
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• A commercially driven and proactive approach
