Contract Specialist

CONTRACT SPECIALIST

Our client, a Major Oil and Gas Operator is seeking an experienced Contracts Specialist with an IT Contracts background. This is a 12 Month PAYE contract role, working in the office 3 days per week and 2 days per week remotely.

They are seeking a skilled Contracting & Procurement (C&P) professional to support the Corporate Services category, with a particular focus on IT, HR, HSE, and Real Estate contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead strategic sourcing initiatives across Infrastructure Technology (IT), HR, HSE, and Real Estate categories.

Negotiate and manage contracts to ensure optimal value and compliance.

Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to support business continuity.

Ensure procurement activities are aligned with corporate governance and risk management frameworks.

Develop commercially competitive contracting & procurement strategies with evolving business needs for assigned key spend categories which meets the Business Demand while taking into account potential implementation of Global Strategies at local/regional level.

Conduct tenders, evaluate bids & drive negotiations with Suppliers in accordance with the CMCP as an overall 'guidance'.

Ensure delivery & effectively manage contracts while continuously drive value improvement targets.

Identify, develop & implement supply chain improvement opportunities.

Key Experiences and Qualifications:

Qualification & Delivery:

A degree level (Business/Engineering) and/or proven long term comprehensive experience within CP.

Proven track record of execution excellence & delivering results.

Commercial:

Highly tuned commercial acumen and curiosity with demonstrated ability to develop and deliver value from complex deals.

Good understanding of strategic, technical, legal, finance, taxation and commercial issues.
