Contracts Specialist (Site-Based) - El Morell, Spain

Location: On-site at Tarragona, Spain

Employment Type: Full-Time 18 month Contract


We're currently seeking a Contracts Specialist with Quantity Surveying (QS) experience to support major projects at our Tarragona Project Site in Spain. This is an exciting opportunity to be a key player in the success of high-impact engineering and construction projects.


What You'll Do:

As a Contracts Specialist, you'll be a vital member of the project execution team, reporting to the Project Contracts Manager. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing contract strategies and procurement plans
  • Drafting and managing a wide range of Contracts and Purchase Orders (POs)
  • Leading contract negotiations and managing the full contract lifecycle
  • Supporting change and claims management processes
  • Interfacing with cross-functional teams (engineering, procurement, construction, legal)
  • Managing supplier engagement and commercial evaluation using tools like SAP and Scout Platform
  • Ensuring timely payment processes and contract close-out


What We're Looking For:

We're looking for someone who is results-driven, highly organized, and commercially astute. Key requirements include:

  • Proven experience in contract administration, including lump sum and remeasure models
  • Strong understanding of commercial and legal contract terms and risk management
  • Proficiency in SAP and the end-to-end requisition-to-pay process
  • Ability to forecast and manage costs effectively throughout project lifecycles
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Fluency in English and Spanish (oral and written) is essential


Your Background:

  • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Civil) or Quantity Surveying preferred
  • MRICS and/or CIPS certification is advantageous
  • Experience in complex industrial gas or engineering projects is highly valued
