NEW CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE FOR A DV CLEARED CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER
Watford (On-site) Up to £650 per day (Inside IR35) Initial 6-month contract with a strong likelihood of extension Active UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance required (MOD)
WHAT WILL THE DV CLEARED CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER BE DOING?
We are supporting a major National Security programme and are looking for an experienced DV Cleared Construction Project Manager to oversee the delivery of a high-security facility fit-out project in West London.
Acting as the client's on-site representative, you will be responsible for ensuring construction works are delivered safely, on programme and to the highest standards of quality and compliance. This role combines Project Management responsibilities with Clerk of Works duties, making it ideal for someone with a strong construction delivery background who enjoys being on site and maintaining exceptional quality standards.
You will work closely with contractors, project stakeholders and client teams, carrying out inspections, monitoring progress, identifying defects, managing risks and ensuring works are completed in line with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
WE NEED THE DV CLEARED CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER TO HAVE
Active UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance (MOD) Previous experience as a Construction Project Manager, Site Manager, Construction Manager, Clerk of Works, Site Inspector or similar client-side construction role Experience delivering construction, refurbishment or fit-out projects within Defence, National Security, Government, Critical Infrastructure or other highly regulated environments Strong understanding of construction quality standards, building regulations and health & safety legislation Experience managing contractors, monitoring project progress and ensuring works are delivered to specification Ability to identify defects, oversee snagging activities and produce clear inspection and progress reports Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Comfortable working on-site full time throughout the duration of the project
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Act as the client's on-site representative throughout project delivery Monitor construction activities to ensure quality, compliance and programme objectives are achieved Carry out regular site inspections and quality assurance checks Identify defects, monitor remedial works and oversee project snagging Coordinate with contractors, consultants and project stakeholders Attend and contribute to site meetings and progress reviews Ensure compliance with health & safety requirements and construction regulations Produce inspection reports and provide regular project updates to the client Support successful project completion, commissioning and handover
