Contract Project Accountant, Meath

Location: South Meath Close to North Kildare border

We are seeking a fully qualified accountant with over 10 years of progressive experience, including significant involvement in ERP system implementation-specifically Microsoft Dynamics 365. This role combines financial & systems expertise, supporting both day-to-day finance operations and ongoing digital transformation initiatives.

The role will split broadly 30% of time assisting with specific areas of month end close and the remaining time dedicated to all aspects of ERP implementation.

ERP Implementation & Systems

• Play a key role in the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 under the direction of ERP Leads.
• Testing current finance requirements as designed and configured for ERP.
• Working with external consultants during system rollout.
• Working as part of the team in the validation, and reconciliation of data between systems.
• Develop and improve reporting capabilities within the ERP system.
• Assist in the training of finance and non finance stakeholders on ERP usage.
• Working on any aspect of the implementation to ensure tight deadlines are achieved.

Month end Reporting

• Take on the responsibility for all aspects of Prepayments, including journal posting and M/E reconciliations.
• Analysis and completion of Credit and Debit Card expense analysis, including journal posting and M/E reconciliations.
• Management of the Fixed Asset Register & Depreciation for non container assets, including journal posting and M/E reconciliations.
• Some additional M/E journal work.

The Person

Fully qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)

• Minimum 10 years' relevant experience in finance/accounting roles.
• Proven hands on experience implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 (end to end preferred).
• Strong understanding of financial controls, reporting, and compliance.
