Would you like to join our Asset Management team as a Contract Officer and help us to deliver an excellent service for our residents?
We are recruiting for two full-time permanent Contract Officers, based at our office in Oldham, who will be part of our Fire Risk and Compliance team within our Asset Management directorate. This is an exciting opportunity which requires a strong, proven background in managing the relationship, performance, and legal obligations of the contractors delivering our fire safety requirements. You must have the ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise your workload to ensure we meet statutory requirements.
As a Contract Officer, you will support the Contract Manager to deliver asset compliance services, providing assurance of compliance and contributing to our residents' safety, satisfaction, and value for money. Collectively, we deliver multi million pound projects, so an understanding of CDM regulations, health and safety, and project management experience is advantageous.
What we are looking forA person who can effectively manage our contractors, to meet requirements for fire risk and compliance relating to fire risk assessments (FRAs) and/or fire door inspections, ensuring required planned preventive maintenance (PPM) is met, actions from fire risk assessments/fire door inspections are completed and are within budgetary requirements.
Previous experience of supporting the management or delivery of asset compliance contracts is highly desirable, with good attention to detail and experience of analysing data. You must be able to demonstrate:
- Proven experience of contractor management.
- An understanding of risk and health and safety requirements.
- Good level of experience of data analysis, ideally using advanced Excel features such as pivot tables, v-lookups, and macros.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent customer focused attitude to align with our Guinness Behaviours, where the resident is at the heart of the role.
- Solution focused.
- Ability to prioritise conflicting deadlines.
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Ideally, experience of managing FRAs and FRA actions and/or fire door inspections and remedial actions.
- Ideally, experience with Northgate/NEC or other housing management systems.
