Job Description

We are currently entering an exciting phase of growth and are looking for a strong people leader to join our management team. This is not a purely technical role, we are looking for someone who thrives on leading teams, coordinating operations, managing client relationships with an ability to keep multiple moving parts running smoothly across a busy maintenance portfolio.

Role: As Contracts Manager, you will take ownership of a portfolio of grounds Maintenance and Internal Plants teams, ensuring service delivery is consistent, efficient and client-focused.

Position: Contracts Manager / Maintenance & Internal Plants

Location: Kildare/Dublin Areas

Reporting to: Maintenance Operational Manager

Duties Include:
  • Leading and supporting multiple field teams across Maintenance and Internal plants contracts and site works.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for crews and clients.
  • Resolving day to day issues quickly and effectively.
  • Planning workloads, scheduling resources, ensuring jobs are delivered on time and to an excellent standard.
  • Reviewing incoming work requests, co ordinating quotations and delivery of additional works.
  • Visiting sites regularly to support teams, ensure quality standards and provide guidance.
  • Managing performance, attendance and team standards in a fair and consistent way.
  • Working closely with internal teams - Operations, HR, Finance and Health & Safety.
  • Supporting financial performance through cost awareness, reporting and efficient resource use.
  • Building strong, long term relationships with clients and ensuring a high level of service.
  • Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety standards across all sites.
  • Using reporting systems to track performance, audits and operational activity.
  • Attend regular team meetings.
  • Ad hoc duties.
Desired Experience, Requirements and Skills:
  • Full clean driving licence - essential.
  • Valid Safe Pass - essential.
  • Leadership skills; proven ability to organise people, schedules and workloads effectively.
  • Management Skills; strong experience managing teams in a field based or operational environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidence in dealing with clients, resolving issues and making decisions.
  • Practical and hands on leadership style when needed.
  • Strong problem solving ability and calmness under pressure.
  • Good IT/reporting skills (or willingness to learn systems such as digital job tracking tools).
  • Some knowledge of plants or outdoor maintenance would be an advantage but, not essential.
Responsibilities:
  • Adhering to Company policies and procedures in relation to all aspects of Health and Safety.
  • Adhering to clients site rules and regulations in general and particularly in relation to Health and Safety.
  • Organise and plan each day with team members in relation to resources.
  • Have the ability to work to tight deadlines and maintain focus and composure when dealing with clients and staff.
  • Maintain strong problem solving skills and be flexible in your approach to working.
  • Possess strong management skills in order to manage numerous employees.
  • Demonstrate good interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and customers on site.
  • Ensure all work completed is to a high standard as expected by SAP Landscapes.
