The role

As Contract Director, you will take strategic accountability for delivering all contractual outputs across the Defence Support Group (DSG), Blueprint (Overseas Operations) and FEPS S contracts. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will lead complex, high value programmes that span multiple locations, disciplines and customer groups. This is a role of significant scale, influence and visibility, requiring exceptional leadership, commercial maturity and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast moving environment.

Day-to-day, you'll be:

  • Leading the delivery of all contractual outputs and operational performance across multiple major Defence contracts.
  • Building trusted, productive relationships with the MOD customer, acting as a senior point of contact and strategic partner.
  • Providing outstanding leadership to large, diverse teams across multiple locations and disciplines.
  • Driving governance, commercial decisions, priorities and performance outcomes that protect and grow the business.
  • Ensuring strong contract controls, risk management and strategic alignment across all programmes.

The position is hybrid, with UK wide flexibility and the requirement to travel to key Land DSG sites including Andover, Bovington, Ashchurch, Warminster, Donnington and Catterick.

Essential experience of the Contract Director
  • Extensive senior leadership experience within a large, complex organisation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in strategic leadership, operational delivery and senior level stakeholder management.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen with the ability to interpret, challenge and influence data driven decisions.
  • A proven track record managing multi million pound contracts across the full lifecycle in multi discipline environments.
  • Experience working within recognised governance frameworks and bringing industry best practice to complex settings.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
