Job Description

Contract Term - Ad hoc

Location - Remote

Join a well-established specialist operating within the construction supply sector, known for delivering high-quality bespoke architectural components and façade solutions. The business specialises in translating architectural intent into practical, manufacturable designs, supporting projects from concept through to production.

With established in house design capabilities and a growing pipeline of work, the company is continuing to expand its design and engineering function. They utilise advanced 3D modelling and scan data to deliver accurate, high-quality outputs for the built environment.

Responsibilities, but are not limited to

• Regularly receive 2D design information to assemble into comprehensive 3D models
• Utilise 2D overlays provided at the start of a project to compare and align engineering models with architectural intent
• Create accurate as built 3D models in SolidWorks. While 3D scan data is utilised for refurbishment projects, the current norm for new builds remains working from 2D inputs
• Support the development of façade elements (panels, rails, interfaces) based on existing conditions or 2D specifications
• Beyond 3D modelling, you will be responsible for presenting designs onto 2D presentation drawing sheets for formal approval
• Work independently or with a small remote team to support peaks in workload and ensure models are manufacturing ready

Experiences required

• Proficient in creating detailed 3D models using SolidWorks (2025 or compatible versions)
• Proven ability to work with and interrogate 3D scan data to produce accurate solid models
• Ability to interpret architectural drawings and integrate them into engineering models
• Background in construction, façade design, or related building industries is highly desirable
• Able to work independently in a remote, ad hoc contract environment
• Must provide own SolidWorks licence
• Must provide own CAD capable workstation
