Contract C++ Engineer - 6 months - Outside IR35

We're seeking an experienced C++ Engineer to join a well known digital firm, working within the Front Office Trading technology team. There will be a focus on market data development. This is a hands-on role working across the full software stack, building and optimising low-latency trading applications using modern C++ practices and tooling.

You'll play a key role in delivering high-performance software solutions, contributing to both greenfield and existing systems. From system architecture and design to performance tuning and latency optimisation, you'll take part in the end-to-end development life cycle. This is a collaborative, high-impact role with the opportunity to lead projects, mentor junior developers, and shape the technical direction of the team.

What You'll Bring:

• 5+ years' experience developing low-latency trading systems in C+ or later

• Strong knowledge of Smart Order Routing and Market Data

• Proven expertise in writing performance-sensitive, multithreaded applications

• Experience with code profiling and optimization

• Familiarity with C+ is a plus

• Ability to clearly demonstrate and articulate your past technical contributions
