Job Description
Contract & Commercial Lead

Location: Derby; Full Time (37.5 hours per week). This global role involves managing multi million pound contracts from both a commercial and contractual perspective.

What you'll be doing

In this role you will play a critical part in driving commercial value and cost efficiency across our global IT landscape.

  • Lead the commercial and contract management of key supplier relationships.
  • Interpret and manage contracts, guiding suppliers to meet contractual obligations.
  • Review and manage contract amendments, providing informed feedback.
  • Deliver accurate financial forecasting (in year and forward looking OPEX spend).
  • Identify and drive commercial savings opportunities.
  • Engage and influence senior stakeholders across the business.
  • Align contract performance with business strategy and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
  • Own the budget for suppliers and the relationships to ensure effective delivery of products and services.
  • Manage strategic suppliers and oversee budgeting processes.
  • Drive supplier performance across commercial, operational and SLA metrics.
  • Lead issue resolution, including escalations and formal dispute processes where required.
  • Provide actionable supplier performance insights.
  • Ensure all contractual obligations and deliverables are met in line with agreed schedules.
  • Strengthen commercial governance and financial discipline across the function.
Who we're looking for
  • Proven experience delivering results in a large, multinational organisation.
  • Strong senior stakeholder management skills, ideally within service delivery or operations.
  • Experience working within a shared services model.
  • Excellent influencing and communication capabilities in a fast paced, demanding environment.
  • Experience managing high value third party suppliers.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
