What will you do?

As a (Jr.) Continuous Improvement Engineer, you will be responsible for initiating, coordinating, and implementing improvement projects from A to Z for the Ewals Group. You will contribute to optimizing logistics services and perform analytical assignments.

You will enjoy a lot of freedom and variety in your role and work closely with Operations, Procurement, IT, and sometimes directly with customers.

You will achieve this by:

• Analyzing logistics networks and developing strategic improvement proposals;
• Creating tools and dashboards to support decision-making and performance tracking;
• Designing solutions that make internal and external processes more efficient;
• Supporting tenders and carrier procurement with analyses and implementations;
• Contributing to improvement events at customer locations with data-driven optimizations. For this, you will travel internationally on a regular basis.

You will join an informal, non-hierarchical CI team of about 7 colleagues where collaboration and knowledge sharing are key. Together, you work on tactical and strategic improvements that truly make a difference for our customers. During your onboarding, you will get to know the organization, systems, and processes and gain insight into how Ewals Cargo Care facilitates its logistics services.

Ewals Cargo Care employs approximately 2,550 people across 29 locations in 14 countries throughout Europe. The head office is located in Tegelen (near Venlo). We offer our customers a wide range of logistics products, from full truckloads, part and project loads, Control Tower set-ups, and Value Added Logistics to global forwarding. You bring:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Logistics, Business Economics, IT, or similar (0-3 years of experience);
• Strong analytical skills and knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office;
• Technical skills: programming in VBA and/or Python and knowledge of AI;
• Ability to create visualizations and dashboards;
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken;
• A proactive attitude and willingness to travel internationally (approximately 10% per year, mainly for improvement events).
