My client, a well-established manufacturing business based in the Black Country, is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to join their team on a 6-month contract. Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse manufacturing processes to identify waste and inefficiencies
- Lead CI projects using Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies
- Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to implement sustainable improvements
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Support training and coaching of staff in CI tools and practices
- Assist with root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions where needed
- Experience in a Continuous Improvement or Process Engineering role within manufacturing
- Strong working knowledge of Lean principles; Six Sigma Green Belt (or above) is desirable
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach
- Ability to work independently and influence teams at all levels
- Comfortable working on the shop floor as well as in meetings and reports
- A collaborative, no-nonsense manufacturing environment
