A respected regional law firm with an excellent reputation for private client and dispute resolution work is seeking a Contentious Probate Solicitor to join its specialist litigation team.

Typical Work Includes

• Inheritance Act claims
• Will validity disputes, including issues of capacity, undue influence and lack of knowledge and approval
• Executor and trustee disputes
• Removal and replacement of personal representatives and trustees
• Trust litigation
• Estate administration disputes
• Proprietary estoppel claims
• Beneficial ownership and estate-related property disputes

You'll be involved in managing files, drafting pleadings and correspondence, liaising directly with clients, experts and counsel, and attending mediations and court hearings where appropriate.

About You

Applications are welcomed from solicitors with between 1 and 5 years' PQE who have gained experience in contentious probate, commercial litigation with relevant exposure, or private client litigation.

You will ideally possess:

• A sound understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong drafting and analytical abilities
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• The confidence to manage your own workload while recognising when to seek guidance
• A commercial and pragmatic approach to resolving disputes
• A genuine interest in developing a long-term career in contentious trusts and probate

Exposure to trust disputes or estate-related property litigation would be advantageous but is not essential.
