About The Role

Salary: National Minimum Wage

Hours: 35 hours per week

Contract: 2 year fixed term contract (forduration of apprenticeship)

Location: MFRS Service Headquarters, BridleRoad, Bootle, L30 4YD

MerseysideFire and Rescue Service is hiring a Digital Content Creator Apprentice.

The role holder will be responsible for planning and developing content for internal communications and social media, with the aim to maximise audience engagement. The role will involve working in a fast-paced, agile and dynamic environment with colleagues in the Communications and Media Team to support internal and external communications across the entire Service, working across diverse areas such as the Recruitment team, Occupational Health, Culture and Inclusion, Learning and Development, events and prevention activities across Merseyside.

Video, photography and design skills will all be an important part of this role supporting the effective delivery of key safety messages to diverse audiences and the delivery of key internal messages to operational and support staff. This role will enable the development of skills in video/photo capture and editing, design work and social media content creation in a role where no two days are ever the same.

The successful candidate will be expected to complete a Level3 Content Creator Apprenticeship, delivered through an external training provider.

It is essential that the post holder will be committed to, encourage and promote the values of MFRS.

We are looking for someone who has experience using social media platforms, who is aware of the importance of creating engaging content for different audiences, and has experience creating digital content.
