Consultant Upper Limb Orthopaedic Surgeon

One Health is looking for a fellowship-trained Orthopaedic Consultant with a sub-specialty in Hand & Wrist and/or Shoulder & Elbow to support and grow the One Health Group's Orthopaedic Team.

The successful candidate will have experience working within a similar role in a private or NHS setting. You should have a professional outlook, empathetic telephone manner and understand the importance of patient confidentiality.

You should currently be in a substantive NHS post OR in a long term locum post (more than 12 months).

If not in current NHS post, should have been a substantive NHS consultant for at least 3 years before leaving the NHS.

On GMC register and have no hearings or restrictions.

Should have relevant sub specialist qualifications (FRCS orth ).

Be on the specialist register.

Main duties of the job

This role will involve assessing and operating on NHS patients referred to One Health via the NHS e Referral System. Appointments will be held across a number of outreach clinic sites. Operations will take place within a range of independent sector hospitals, the Consultant must therefore be prepared to travel.

Person Specification Experience

• You will have strong written/verbal communication in the English language.
• You will have experience of using Microsoft office packages, Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Will have experience working within a similar role in a private or NHS setting.
• You should have a professional outlook, empathetic telephone manner and understand the importance of patient confidentiality.
