As a Principal Consultant in our Climate Services team , you will be working directly with the Climate Director as well as partnering with companies on their sustainability journey. In this role, you will lead end-to-end consulting projects across climate topics, strategies, and implementation. You'll work directly with clients at senior levels, mentor and develop team members, and drive both strategic initiatives and business development opportunities. Project delivery Lead projects and convert individual service offerings into integrated Climate and ESG journeys, unlocking sustained value and impact for clients. Provide technical expert advise on Climate topics including but not limited to: GHG inventory, Scope 3 supply chain and products, Transition plan, SBTi (FLAG and non-FLAG), decarbonisation, net zero pathways, climate risk and regulatory compliances e.g., Safeguard excellence across delivery, ensuring quality and consistency in all engagements and deliverables. Drive innovation in project delivery and software use to boost team effectiveness and efficiency. Help guide the creation of new Climate service offerings and lead high-impact business development initiatives. Commercial and strategic industry influence Act as relationship owner for Tier 1 client accounts, engaging at C-suite and Director levels and transforming relationships into long-term partnerships. Provide strategic guidance on Climate and sustainability challenges, ensuring Nexio Projects is a thought partner in clients' transformation. Engage in sector trend analysis, contribute to Nexio Projects position papers, and influence sustainability strategy discussions. Represent Nexio Projects in forums and discussions that set the direction of the sustainability agenda. Team development & leadership Directly manage members of the Climate team, mentoring them to achieve their professional and leadership potential. Support recruitment and professional development initiatives, contributing to the growth of our talent base. Promote cross-functional collaboration and align team strengths with Nexio Projects' strategic direction. Foster a culture of feedback, curiosity, and continuous learning across the organisation. Supported the Climate Director in delivering best in class Climate-related services to Nexio's international client base Co-designed and implemented strategies that significantly grow our client base and deepen existing partnerships. Mentored colleagues and strengthened project management and climate consultancy capabilities across the Climate team. 5+ years of experience in Climate consulting with proven success in business development and client leadership. Proven experience in client account management with a track record of building and nurturing long-term client relationships. Experience managing and mentoring consultancy professionals and building high-performing teams. Strategic thinker with a strong track record of shaping new service offerings and driving growth. Fluent in English; Dutch and/or French fluency is highly desirable. Additional languages are a strong plus.
