Applications are invited for a new locum Consultant in Restorative Dentistry at the Royal Cornwall Hospital. The post attracts 4PAs.

A formal job plan will be agreed between the successful candidate, the Clinical Director, and consultant colleagues on behalf of the Medical Director, based on the department's needs and the individual's strengths and interests, ensuring flexibility to recruit the best applicant.
Main duties of the job- Full involvement in Restorative Dentistry services in Cornwall, working with primary care dental services and the Peninsula Dental School.
- Assist in meeting Key Performance Indicators for the Royal Cornwall Hospital.

- GDC/GMC Registration with a Licence to Practice
- Successfully completed the Intercollegiate Fellowship Exam in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery or equivalent
- CCST in Restorative Dentistry or within six months of completing Specialist Training in Restorative Dentistry
- Completion of a relevant surgical fellowship
- Educational supervisor training
- ATLS certification
- Managing patients with complex facial trauma
- Managing patients with oral cancer
- Surgical management of temporomandibular joint pathology
- Head and neck skin cancer surgery, including metastatic disease
- Participation in clinical audits
- Experience in teaching and postgraduate research, with publications in refereed journals
- Performing sentinel lymph node biopsies
