We are looking for a professional, motivated psychiatrist to join our team at Merville Barracks. The role is full time (40 hrs per week) with part time hours available on a job share basis. Main Duties

• Provide effective, evidence based interventions as part of a multidisciplinary team to Service Personnel and entitled civilians, with a recovery oriented approach.
• Maintain responsibility for patient care throughout the referral and treatment process, including liaison with other regional services.
• Collaborate with patients, family members and significant others in treatment planning when appropriate.
• Liaise with the inpatient Consultant Psychiatrist and attend ward rounds as required.
• Utilise high level communication skills to understand and address patients' personal and sensitive difficulties.

Qualifications & Memberships

• Full GMC registration with licence to practise.
• Member or Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (or equivalent) with completion of specialist training (CCT or CCST).
• Certificate of Specialist Training or equivalent in General Adult or Forensic Psychiatry.

Other Requirements

• Successful candidates must meet the security requirements (security check).
• Proof of immunity to Hepatitis B is required.
• All staff are subject to a 6 month probation period (unless otherwise advised).
• Access to the NHS pension scheme is available.

Salary

£109,725 to £145,478 per year (pro rata for part time).
