Consultant Paediatrician

We are seeking dedicated Consultant Paediatricians who share our core values of commitment, trust, integrity, and kindness to support our CYP Assessment Services in Basingstoke.

About the Role:

• Able to deliver ASD assessments for our children and adolescent patient groups predominantly aged 3-5 initially.
• Working as part of a multidisciplinary team is required.
• Observing the child/young person during MDT sessions and ensuring questions are asked in an age-appropriate and compassionate manner.
• Reviewing ADOS reports, developmental history, and relevant collateral information from home and school in the same session.
• Formulating a diagnosis, concluding the assessment, and providing feedback to the family in a kind, age-appropriate, and compassionate manner, including recommendations and signposting to local/national resources.
• Producing high-quality, detailed diagnostic reports within 48 hours post-assessment, adhering to DSM-5 criteria and report templates. (AI tools available to support Report writing).
• Requesting onward referrals as clinically necessary, in line with local NHS Trust/ICB protocols.

Our Clinics:

• Up to four appointments per day between 9am and 5pm, paid on a competitive per assessment tariff (self-employed, outside IR35).
• Weekend availability

What We're Looking For:

• GMC-registered doctor with a valid license to practice.
• Hold Consultant status (CCT) and ideally be registered on Specialist Register.
• Confidence in ASD assessments for children and young people
• In Clinic assessments in our Basingstoke Clinic initially with potential to join our Private Service assessment team.
• Up-to-date with revalidation and appraisal processes.
