Consultant in Paediatric Spinal Deformity

Exeter Spine Unit provides paediatric scoliosis care for children in Devon and Cornwall. Outpatient work is undertaken at the Buttercup Unit, where we have an EOS, which permits imaging of the spine with low radiation. The paediatric spine MDT is also hosted at that site. The consultant team are supported by 2 registrars and 2 fellows, a paediatric scoliosis ESP and a paediatric scoliosis Clinical Nurse Specialist. Surgery is currently undertaken on the Wonford site.
The successful candidate will complement the colleagues currently delivering this service. Candidates should have completed a paediatric scoliosis fellowship and be competent to deliver operative and non-operative care to these patients. The department is structured to allow for dual consultant operating for the more complex cases.
