Consultant in Paediatric and Adult Congenital Cardiac Surgery

Job Overview

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is one of the largest healthcare systems in Scotland, offering acute, primary, community and mental health care to over 2.2 million people.

This is a permanent Consultant Congenital Cardiac Surgeon post based at the Royal Hospital for Children, with an on call shift pattern and options for locum or substantive appointment.

Key Responsibilities

Join a team of three cardiac surgeons delivering Scotland's national congenital cardiac surgical services. Provide high quality patient care and surgical intervention for both paediatric and adult congenital heart disease, maintaining broad training and operating experience in these areas.

Qualifications

• Full registration with the General Medical Council and licence to practice.
• Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery (FRCS CTh) or equivalent.
