Qualifications

• Full registration and a license to practice with the United Kingdom General Medical Council (GMC).
• Entry on the GMC Specialist Register in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery via CCT or CESR-CP (Combined Programme), with proposed CCT/CESR-CP date within 6 months of interview.
• CESR or European Community Rights consideration given to candidates within 2 years of their expected CCT date, with a conditional offer pending achievement of the above essential qualifications.

Qualifications and Experience

• MBBS & BDS or equivalent qualification.
• FRCS(OMFS) or equivalent qualification.
• Demonstration of a high level of clinical experience and competency in the field of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
• Demonstration of expertise in the subspeciality of H&N oncology surgery.
• Demonstration of ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Experience of postgraduate and undergraduate teaching.

Presentation, Teaching and Research Skills

• Undergraduate and postgraduate teaching experience.
• Effective participation in clinical audit.
• Evidence of the ability to carry out medical research.
• Publications in refereed journals.
• Presentations at national and international level.
• Experience and management of quality improvement projects.
• Work independently.
• Good communication skills.
• Team skills.
