Consultant in Interventional Cardiology

We have been assigned by one of the UK's prestigious NHS Trusts to help recruit a Consultant in Interventional Cardiology on either a Substantive or NHS Fixed Term basis for 12 months to join their Cardiology department.

The appointed Consultant will join a department of 15 Cardiologists, with responsibilities including:

1. Participation in a 1:8-10 Consultant Cardiology rota
2. Participation in a 1:7-8 PPCI rota and regular PCI sessions
3. Attendance at Heart Failure, Echo, and Coronary MDT meetings
4. Carrying out cardiology clinics
5. Supervision and management of junior medical staff
6. Teaching, examination, and accreditation duties
7. Engagement in clinical governance, including audits and research

The location offers a blend of city attractions, market towns, and villages within the Peak District, with excellent transport links to Birmingham, London, and two international airports.
