Job Description

The Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant in Dermatology to join a dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to provide dermatology services across multiple hospitals while contributing to the department's transformational change. Qualifications
  • Wide experience in all aspects of dermatology.
  • Interest in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate medical staff.
  • Evidence of recent and current research with relevant publications.
Responsibilities
  • Provide dermatology services to hospitals and the local community.
  • Supervise general dermatology work with junior medical staff.
  • Develop sub-specialty interests within the department.
Skills

Communication

Education
  • MB BS or equivalent
  • Full Registration with the General Medical Council
  • MRCP or equivalent
  • Certificate of completion of specialist training (CCST) in Dermatology

Vacancies are available in the following sectors:

  • Main area: Dermatology
  • Grade: YC72

  • Hours: 10 sessions per week (applications for part-time or flexible roles are welcomed)

Site: Wythenshawe, Trafford, Withington, Altrincham Hospitals (WTWA), with possible requirement to work across all MFT sites.

Salary: £105,504 - £139,882 per annum (pro rata)

Job overview

Applications are invited for the post of a Consultant in Dermatology. The appointee will join a team of Consultants, Specialty Doctors, GPSI, and Specialist Nurses to provide dermatology services to the hospitals and local community. Evidence of GMC Specialist Register admission or CCT/CESR within 6 months of interview is required.

The department is undergoing transformational change and expanding, with a five-year vision including developing sub-specialty interests. Candidates with existing or interested in developing such interests are encouraged to apply.
