Consultant ENT Surgeon - Head & Neck Surgery

This role is established to meet increasing demand and support ongoing service expansion and transformation. It involves developing sub specialty interests and works in line with plans for a new hospital at the Watford site and a new surgical elective hub at St Albans City Hospital.

Main Responsibilities

• Maintain the highest clinical standards in management of all patients presenting to the Hospital.
• Provide and support colleagues with the management of all adult and paediatric patients presenting with ENT conditions.
• Develop close links with the ENT Team and undertake responsibilities of outpatient ENT Clinics.
• Teaching and training of intermediate grade and junior medical staff, medical students and ENT Nursing Staff.
• Actively participate in departmental and Trust matters concerning Clinical Governance and audit.
• Have responsibility for and actively participate in continuing professional development.

Job Responsibilities

• Full GMC Registration
• Entry on the GMC Specialist Register via CCT (proposed CCT date must be within 6 months of interview), CESR, or European Community Rights
• An appropriate higher ENT qualification/Fellowship
• Proven ability to operate independently in Endoscopic sinus surgery
