Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist

• Base: Ward 4 National Child Psychiatry Inpatient Unit, Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to join the largest Scottish Health Board, Greater Glasgow and Clyde, as a Consultant in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry within Specialist Children's Services.

Applicants are invited to apply for the post of Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist providing 8 sessions in the well established National Child Psychiatry In-patient Service in the Royal Hospital for Children in the South Glasgow University Hospital campus in Glasgow.

This is a specialist post within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and the post will be based in the National Child In-Patient Service with no programmed paediatric liaison component.

The post is configured entirely within the National Child Psychiatry Inpatient Unit (Ward 4).

The post holder will join a highly experienced Consultant colleague and be supported by a cohesive, well-functioning multidisciplinary team. The Royal Hospital for Children provides services to the children of Glasgow and Clyde, regional services to the West of Scotland, and a national service for certain paediatric specialities. The post holder will contribute to agreed Consultant cross-cover arrangements within the Royal Hospital for Children site and to Tier 4 CAMHS daytime Consultant on-call arrangements.
