Job Description: Cardiology Consultant

Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cardiology Consultant to join our dynamic team at Northampton General Hospital. This role is pivotal in providing high-quality cardiology services to our patients. You will work within a supportive and innovative environment, contributing to both clinical excellence and professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver expert cardiology consultations and treatments, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care plans and outcomes.

  • Engage in continuous professional development and maintain up-to-date knowledge in cardiology.

  • Contribute to clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives within the department.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) with a license to practice.

  • Completion of higher specialist training in Cardiology.

  • CCST or CESR in Cardiology.

  • Experience in managing a wide range of cardiology conditions.

Desirable Skills:

  • Expertise in interventional cardiology procedures.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively within a team and across disciplines.

Compliance Requirements:

  • Completion of NHS mandatory training.
