Full-time or Flexible Part-Time Contract

Salary Range: £107,144 - £142,369 per annum (pro rata if applicable)

Plus: 8% On-call supplement, Distant Islands Allowance (£2,380 per annum, pro rata), and relocation assistance up to £8,000

Job Details

We are seeking consultant anaesthetists to join the team at Gilbert Bain Hospital, Lerwick. The Anaesthetic Department provides comprehensive general anaesthetic and critical care services. Due to the remote setting, anaesthetists will also provide enhanced trauma resuscitation, neonate and paediatric resuscitation, and adapt core skills to challenging clinical scenarios outside traditional theatres.

Working Arrangements

Full-time posts are available, with discussions possible for alternative arrangements, including annualised hours or other contracts. Pro-rata annual leave applies, including 2 weeks of study leave.
