Construction Project Researcher

We are looking to add to our team a curious, analytical person with strong professional communication skills to identify and document construction projects in the Portuguese market.

Your mission will be to detect projects in the planning, approval or execution phases and transform dispersed information into structured data of high value for our clients.

To achieve this, you will combine research in public and specialized sources with direct contact with companies in the sector, such as developers, construction companies and architecture firms. Often, a well-handled conversation is the key to confirming information, discovering new projects or understanding the broader context of a construction development.

Many of these companies collaborate with us because appearing on the platform gives them visibility among suppliers, manufacturers and professionals in the sector who are looking for business opportunities.

Your work will allow our clients to anticipate market opportunities and make commercial decisions with a competitive advantage.

This role is also an excellent opportunity to develop knowledge of the construction sector, the real estate market and how business opportunities are generated within this industry.

Responsibilities

• Identify construction projects in the planning, approval or execution phases in Portugal.
• Research different public and specialized sources (municipalities, official bulletins, industry media, registries and sector websites) to detect new projects.
• Contact developers, construction companies and architecture firms by phone to verify information and gather additional relevant details about the projects.
• Maintain professional conversations that allow you to validate data, discover new projects and expand the network of contacts within the sector.
• Collect and structure key information for each project: location, type of development, stage, estimated budget, companies involved and other relevant details.
• Publish and update projects on the platform, ensuring accuracy, consistency and value for clients.
• Identify new sources of information and opportunities to improve research and data validation processes.
• Collaborate with the team by sharing insights about sources, contacts and market dynamics.

Requirements

• Previous experience in the sector is not essential, although experience in research, professional phone-based roles, consultative sales, documentation, journalism or roles with frequent professional contact with companies will be valued.
• Comfortable holding professional phone conversations.
• Curiosity and ability to research, verify and structure information from different sources.
• Analytical mindset and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to organize work and manage tasks independently.
• Comfortable working with databases and digital tools.
• Persistence and results orientation: relevant information often does not appear immediately.
• We especially value curious and proactive profiles who enjoy researching, asking questions and understanding how an industry works.
• Fluency in Portuguese.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English or Spanish in a professional context
