We're looking for a creative, dedicated, and enthusiastic Construction Multi Skills Vocational Trainer to join our vibrant team in Basildon. This role is suitable for anyone with a multi-trade background in plastering, joinery, painting and decorating, and/or bricklaying, or a general all-rounder with prior experience in teaching a multi-skills course. ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for curriculum planning, training and assessment for learners on our level 1 multi-skills course. You should be confident in delivering to a diverse range of learners and ready to inspire them to achieve their full potential. To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to perform the following key responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, practical multi-skills construction sessions to small groups of learners
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons to meet individual needs and learning objectives
- Create and manage tailored learning plans that support learners' progression and long-term aspirations
- Provide pastoral support, advice, and guidance to learners throughout their programme
- Use a variety of teaching and training methods to engage individuals with different learning styles
- Ensure all learning delivery meets quality standards and compliance requirements
- Monitor and record learner progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance
- Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment in line with safeguarding and equality standards
- Achieve quality targets, including those related to learner achievement, inclusion, progression and destination
- Conduct risk assessments of all activities, prioritising your own, learners and others' safety
Note: These responsibilities serve as an initial outline for the tasks that the post holder will initially be expected to perform. Changes may occur over time to accommodate evolving job requirements and adapt to shifting circumstances. Individuals in these roles must demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to travel to different work locations.
