Construction Materials Team Leader

What You'll Do

ECS Limited is offering a unique opportunity for a talented and certified Field Services Team Leader to join our Tampa team. We provide opportunities for professional development with additional incentives as you advance your skills and gain experience. In this role, you will ensure that our technicians are properly trained and organized through supervision within the Field Services department.

Responsibilities

• Field Activities: Perform observation, testing, sampling, and inspection of materials, including soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement on construction sites.
• Safety: Maintain and organize inventory of supplies; calibrate and maintain field equipment with accurate records; promote safety culture; ensure proper PPE use; assist with safety training.
• Communication: Communicate daily with technicians, project managers, and general contractors; support scheduling, operations, and recruiting; mentor junior staff; support project and department managers; attend project meetings; participate in business development and client relations.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 4+ years of related experience
• Must have and maintain basic certifications; advanced certifications may be required based on work performed
• Ability to lift a minimum of 85 pounds
• Strong understanding of construction materials testing principles, applications, and ASTM standards
• Proficient in data interpretation and evaluation of CMT techniques
• Experience with field and laboratory tests on construction materials and evaluating test results for compliance
• Excellent communication skills (speaking, reading, writing)
• Ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors
