Taylor Lane Timber Frame is seeking two motivated individuals with managerial experience to fill two Construction Manager vacancies, each covering a region: Berkshire/Surrey and Hertfordshire/Essex.

These roles are predominantly site-based 4 days per week with one day working from home, as required.

There is potential for a suitable candidate to join in a Supervisor role with a defined career development path toward becoming a Construction Manager.

Responsibilities

• Main point of contact between client, sub-contracted labour and Taylor Lane
• Autonomous role managing multi-site installations, predominantly new build housing
• Managing the erection process of offsite manufactured timber frame components
• Involvement in contracts from point of order to aftercare of installed product
• Emphasis on HSE compliance, contractual compliance and quality assurance
• Emphasis on completing Critical Milestone Handover tasks of plots onsite
• Emphasis on providing suitable feedback to business stakeholders via effective communication

Desired Experience

• Carpentry, timber frame or relevant trade experience
• Managing or supervising construction-based labour

Desired Skills

• Pro-active and positive problem solver
• IT literature (using a computer / tablet)
• Competent use of technology

Desired Qualifications

• SSTS, SMSTS, CPCS/NPORS appointed person crane certification
