Opportunity - Construction Lawyer, Belfast

An outstanding law firm in Belfast is seeking a skilled Construction Lawyer to join their growing team. The successful candidate will manage a diverse portfolio of construction-related matters, handling both contentious and non-contentious files. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to further develop their career within a dynamic and supportive environment.
The role involves:
  • Advising on all aspects of construction law, including dispute resolution and contract negotiation.
  • Managing a mixed caseload of contentious disputes (e.g. adjudication, arbitration, and litigation) and non-contentious matters (e.g.drafting and negotiating construction contracts).
  • Providing clients with pragmatic, commercial advice on risk management, regulatory compliance, and construction project delivery.
  • You will collaborate with other departments in the practice to engage and support with national and international client demands.
  • Engaging with developers, contractors, architects, and other stakeholders on various construction projects.
  • Working collaboratively with other departments such as property, planning, and dispute resolution to provide comprehensive client support
Ideally, you will offer:
  • (Ideally Dual) Qualified Solicitor in Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland or England and Wales with at least 2 years' PQE in construction law.
  • Strong experience handling both contentious and non-contentious construction files (or either).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and drafting skills.
  • Ability to manage complex cases and provide clear, commercially focused advice.
  • A proactive and client-driven approach to legal service delivery.
