# Construction Assurance Manager (MEP)LocationRickmansworth, Hertfordshire, South East, EnglandSalaryCompetitiveContract TypeContractWork TypeFull TimePosted on11 Aug 2026 Key Responsibilities Provide construction assurance and technical oversight of MEP works across shafts, headhouses, and portal buildings. Ensure all works comply with approved designs, specifications, standards, and project requirements. Review and assure installation methodologies, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), commissioning plans, and quality documentation. Monitor contractor performance and verify compliance with contractual obligations and regulations. Manage interfaces between civil, structural, architectural, and MEP disciplines. Conduct site inspections, audits, and assurance reviews across construction and commissioning stages. Identify and escalate technical, quality, safety, or programme-related issues. Support testing, commissioning, and system handovers. Collaborate with Design, Construction, Commercial, and Project Controls teams. Participate in risk and change management processes and assist in resolving issues. Produce construction assurance reports for project leadership. Essential Requirements Proven experience in Construction Assurance Manager, Construction Manager, Site Manager, or Project Engineer roles. Strong background in MEP delivery within large-scale infrastructure projects. Demonstrated experience assuring installation and commissioning of: + Mechanical systems + Electrical systems + Public health and life safety systems Effective understanding of technical assurance, inspection, and commissioning protocols. Competent in multidisciplinary coordination and stakeholder engagement. Strong communication and reporting skills. Desirable Requirements Experience on HS2 or similar rail/tunnelling projects. Experience working on shafts, tunnels, portals, or headhouse projects. Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services or Construction Engineering. Familiarity with NEC contracts and quality management practices.
