Construction Assurance Manager

Do you have hands-on site experience in heavy civils construction? Are you confident assuring contractor activity against work plans, RAMS and CDM requirements rather than supervising the works?

Salary: £48.900 to £65,514. Please note this role is not available in a contract/temporary capacity.

Location: Aylesbury, minimum 4 days per week on site, 1 from home

This is a site-based Construction Assurance Manager opportunity on a major UK infrastructure project. The role is hands-on and practical, suited to someone who enjoys being out on site and understanding how work is being delivered.

The focus of the role is construction assurance rather than design or supervision. You will observe, verify and report on whether the contractor is delivering works in line with agreed plans, risk assessments and safety requirements, acting as an independent and credible presence on site.

Essential Requirements:

• Extensive experience on site within heavy civils - earthworks, groundworks, RC structures, bridges, viaducts etc.
• At least 12 months' on-site experience within a heavy civils construction environment
• Valid CSCS and SMSTS certification
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, work plans and site documentation
• Formal qualification such as HNC (degree not essential)
• Able to commute to the Aylesbury site within 90 minutes each way
• Practical knowledge of CDM regulations and a proactive approach to construction safety.
• Experience building relationships and engaging with contractors, internal teams, and third parties.
