Department Description

The New Business Conflicts department investigates legal conflicts of interest and firm business issues, ensuring compliance before matters are approved.

Role Overview

This role supports the Conflicts Supervisor and team in research related to conflicts of interest, client and matter information, and compliance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying and resolving conflicts of interest
• Conduct database research and analysis
• Maintain and update conflicts database
• Research corporate histories and related information
• Respond to research requests and perform conflicts searches
• Coordinate engagement letters and client waivers
• Support various research projects and administrative duties

Qualifications and Experience

• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• At least 9 months of conflicts research experience
• Experience with 3E or similar databases
